DA Hike: Good News! Now 3% increase in DA announced for these employees, Details here

Earlier, the central government had increased the dearness allowance by 3%. It will be effective from July 1, 2024. This will benefit more than one crore employees and pensioners before Diwali. Earlier in March, the government had increased DA / DR by four percentage points to 50 percent from January 1, 2024. The latest increase will put an additional burden of Rs 9,448 crore on the government treasury. Let us tell you that the central government has about 49.18 lakh employees and 64.89 lakh pensioners.

Many states have also increased it

Different states of the country have also increased the dearness allowance. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced a 4% increase in the dearness allowance of state government employees. With this, the dearness allowance in the state will now be 50% of the basic salary. Employees will get the benefit of dearness allowance from October 1. The state government employees were demanding DA equal to the Center for a long time, which has been approved by Chief Minister Sai.

The Sikkim government has also increased the dearness allowance of its employees by four percent. The Himachal Pradesh government has also increased the allowances of its employees. Apart from this, states like Jharkhand and Odisha have also increased the allowances.
