DA Hike: Haryana government has increased dearness allowance from 46 percent to 50 percent. Earlier, Jharkhand and Karnataka governments had increased DA.
DA Hike in Haryana: Haryana government on Friday increased the dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees, pensioners and family pensioners by four percent. The state government said in a statement that after the revision in the rate, dearness allowance has been increased from 46 percent to 50 percent. The new rate will be effective from January 1, 2024. According to the statement, “Government employees will start receiving the increased DA with their salary of March 2024. Along with this, the outstanding payment for the months of January and February will be made in the month of May.”
Pensioners will also get benefits
Along with this, the state government has also issued orders to provide dearness relief (DR) to its pensioners and family pensioners from January 1, 2024. They will also be paid DR along with their March 2024 pension/family pension payable in April, 2024 and the arrears of January and February will be paid in the month of May.
DA has also increased in Jharkhand and Karnataka
Earlier, recently dearness allowance was increased in 2 states. The central government had announced to increase the dearness allowance of its employees from the current 46 percent to 50 percent of the basic salary from January 1 this year. After this, the Jharkhand government has increased the dearness allowance of state government employees to 50 percent of the basic salary. Along with this, the Karnataka government also approved increasing the dearness allowance of state government employees from 38.75 percent to 42.5 percent. In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Champai Soren, the proposal to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees and dearness relief for pensioners was approved.
