DA Hike: Know how much salary and pension of central employees and pensioners have increased, how much arrears will be received

DA Hike Update: Due to increase in dearness allowance of central employees, the salary will not only increase but the arrears from July to September will also be received along with the salary of October.

Dearness Hike Update: Modi government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees. For the second half of the current financial year, from July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023, the inflation rate has been increased by 4 percent from 42 percent to 46 percent. This decision of the government will benefit 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners.

Now let us tell you that if the salary of a central employee is Rs 50,000 or Rs 1 lakh or Rs 2 lakh, then how will he benefit from the decision of the Modi government.

Let us know how much benefit you will get

Suppose the current salary of an employee is around Rs 50,000. In which he is currently getting 42 percent dearness allowance. So he is getting Rs 21,000 every month as dearness allowance. But after the dearness allowance increases to 46 percent, dearness allowance of Rs 23,000 per month will be available. That means now you will get a salary of Rs 52,000 every month. This means that you will get an annual profit of Rs 24,000 on an annual basis.

If an employee gets a salary of Rs 1 lakh every month. So, currently Rs 42,000 is available as 42 per cent dearness allowance. But after 46 percent of dearness allowance, dearness allowance will be Rs 46,000. That means you will get Rs 4,000 more salary every month. That means now you will get a salary of Rs 1.04 lakh. Employees will get a benefit of Rs 48,000 on annual basis.

An employee gets a salary of Rs 2 lakh every month. If we add 42 percent dearness allowance to this, we get Rs 84,000 as dearness allowance. But after 4 percent increase in DA, dearness allowance of Rs 92,000 will be available. That means you will get an additional salary of Rs 8,000 every month. That means now you will get a salary of Rs 2.08 lakh every month.

How much arrears will you get?

The increase in dearness allowance will be effective from July 1. In such a situation, employees will get arrears of the last three months. If an employee gets a salary of Rs 50,000, he will get Rs 6,000 as arrears, those getting a salary of Rs 1 lakh will get Rs 12,000 as arrears. Whereas those getting a salary of Rs 2 lakh per month will get additional arrears of Rs 24,000.

Big benefit to pensioners

Dearness Relief for government pensioners has also been increased from 42 percent to 46 percent. This decision will benefit 68 lakh pensioners.

Suppose a pensioner gets a pension of Rs 20,000, then Rs 8,400 is given as dearness relief. Now after increasing the dearness relief to 46 percent, dearness relief of Rs 9200 will be available. That means there will be an increase of Rs 800 in the pension received every month and the pension will be Rs 20,800.

If a pensioner is getting a pension of Rs 50,000 every month, then he gets dearness allowance of Rs 21,000. But after the increase in dearness relief to 46 percent, now dearness allowance will be Rs 23000. That means there will be an additional benefit of Rs 2000 and now you will get a pension of Rs 52000.

If we look at the benefits to a government employee getting a pension of Rs 1 lakh, then at present he gets Rs 42,000 as the first 42 per cent dearness allowance. But after 46 percent of dearness allowance, dearness allowance will be Rs 46,000. That means you will get Rs 4,000 more pension every month. This means that now a pension of Rs 1.04 lakh will come every month.
