Uttarakhand MLA Salary Allowances: There is good news for the MLAs of Uttarakhand. Soon there is going to be a huge increase in salary allowances. In this, an increase of Rs 20 thousand in the salary of MLAs is proposed, along with an increase in allowances and salary of personal assistant. This is likely to increase the amount in the account of MLAs by one to one and a half lakh rupees.
According to media reports, several ordinances were tabled on the first day of the monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. In this, the first report of the ad hoc committee constituted to increase the salary and allowances of MLAs was also presented in the House. Currently, MLAs get Rs 2.90 lakh as salary allowance. After this increase, the members of the 70-member Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly can now get about Rs 4 lakh as salary and allowances per month. However, it will depend on the House to what extent it accepts the recommendations of the ad hoc committee.
Cashless treatment will also be available
According to media reports, MLAs will get cashless treatment. The state government is preparing to provide cashless treatment to MLAs and former MLAs and their dependents. If AIIMS recommends treatment abroad, they will be sent. MLAs will get the facility of cashless treatment on Golden Card. Under this, railway coupons worth 40 thousand and cash of 30 thousand per month will be given for petrol.
