The state government did not give the arrears of dearness allowance for the last 42 months, which the Chief Minister himself had said will be given once the situation is restored.
Employees DA Hike: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has once again increased the dearness allowance of 7.50 lakh government employees by 4%. The new rates will be applicable from January, so from August the employees will get the benefit of 42% DA at par with the Centre. The same employees will be paid arrears of 6 months in 3 installments. Class III Employees Union Bhopal Madhya Pradesh has expressed happiness over this decision of the state government, as well as demanded arrears of 42 months from July 2019 to December 2022.
Employees will get 42 percent DA benefit from August
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that our government has always been an employee friendly government. We have taken several revolutionary decisions in the interests of the employees. It was announced recently that we will give dearness allowance at par with the Center to state employees, we have decided that we will give 42 per cent dearness allowance at par with the Center from the month of January itself. The arrears of dearness allowance will be given in 3 equal installments from January to June. All those employees who are getting the sixth pay scale, their dearness allowance will also be increased proportionately.
Employees union demands 42 months old arrears
Welcoming the announcement by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to provide dearness allowance at the central rate and central date to the employees from January 2023, Umashankar Tiwari, State Secretary of Class III Employees Association, has demanded that the previous outstanding DA arrears should also be given. He said That the state government did not give the arrears of dearness allowance for the last 42 months, which the Chief Minister himself had said that everything will be given once the situation is restored. Looking at the election year, the outstanding arrears from July 19 to December 22 were not expected to be fulfilled, due to which the employees had to lose 9200 crores in about 42 months and lakhs of rupees dearness allowance arrears to each employee.
Monthly benefit of 620 to 5640 rupees to state employees on 42 percent DA
- Class I Officers 4924 to 5640.
- Class II Officers 2244 to 3196.
- Class III employee 780 to 1308.
- Class IV employee 620 to 720.
