DA Hike: State government announces 9% increase in dearness allowance of its employees

The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a 9% increase in dearness allowance as a Diwali gift to its lakhs of employees. After this, the employees will now get 239% DA instead of 230%. This increase will be effective from January 1, 2024, but its payment will start from October 2024.

DA Hike: There is good news for the government employees of Madhya Pradesh. The state government has announced a 9% increase in their dearness allowance (DA). This means that now the employees will get 239% DA instead of 230%. This increase will be applicable from the salary of the month of November and this will benefit the employees from Rs 620 to Rs 7 thousand. This decision has been taken after the long-standing demands of the employee organizations. The employee organizations have welcomed this decision of the government.

Finance department also issued order

Madhya Pradesh Finance Department has issued an order that the dearness allowance of all government employees with sixth pay scale will be increased. From July 1, 2023, employees were getting 230 percent DA, which is being increased by 9 percent to 239 percent. The increased DA will be applicable from January 1, 2024 and its payment will start from October 1, 2024 (with the salary of November 2024).

Payment will be made in four installments

Arrears from 1 January 2024 to 30 September 2024 will be paid in four installments. The first installment will be given in December 2024, the second in January 2025, the third in February 2025 and the fourth installment in March 2025.

These employees will get arrears in lump sum

Employees who have died or who have retired between 1 January 2024 and 30 September 2024 will be paid arrears in lump sum to them or their families.
