UPSRTC will have an additional burden of Rs 5 crore
The Transport Minister said that this increase will put an additional burden of Rs 5 crore on UPSRTC. He said that the approval of 4 percent dearness allowance has been given by the Board of Directors. It is under consideration at the government level. When the dearness allowance increases from 46 to 50 percent, the retiring employees will be able to get gratuity up to Rs 25 lakh instead of the maximum limit of Rs 20 lakh. He said that due to the increase in dearness allowance, the employees will work with new zeal and enthusiasm, which will benefit the Transport Corporation.
Appeal to private companies to use CSR funds
Meanwhile, UPSRTC MD Masood Ali Sarwar has requested private companies to use their CSR funds for passenger facilities during Maha Kumbh 2025. The proposed facilities include water ATMs, themed gates, enquiry displays, benches, microphones, blankets, dustbins and signage at permanent bus stops. The proposal has been sent to SBI, HDFC, PNB, Kotak Mahindra, Indian Oil and Central Bank etc.
