Maintenance Charges

The bank charges an annual maintenance charge from the customers. It usually ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 500. The rates of this charge are different in all banks.

Card Replacement Charges

Many times we have to replace the ATM card due to some damage. The bank also charges for replacing the card. However, many banks waive this charge in case of physical damage. If the ATM card is lost, then the bank charges Rs 200. The bank charges between Rs 100 and Rs 300 from the customer as card replacement charge.

PIN re-generate fee

If you forget your ATM card’s PIN, you have to pay a fee to re-generate it or make a duplicate PIN. Usually the bank charges Rs 50 to Rs 100 for this.

Cash withdrawal charge

If we withdraw cash from the ATM of the bank whose card we have, then we do not have to pay any fee. There is not even any limit for cash withdrawal. On the other hand, if we withdraw more cash from another bank’s ATM, then we have to pay a charge of Rs 10 to Rs 30 on every transaction.

International transaction charge

If we make any payment abroad through debit card or withdraw cash from ATM, then we have to pay international transaction charge. These charges are different for all banks.

POS fee

No extra charge is levied on any purchase made through debit card, but if you use debit card for fuel transaction then you have to pay 1 percent cess i.e. surcharge.
