A Delhi court gave the verdict on the case of Bharti assaulting AIIMS employees and damaging government property.
new Delhi. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has sentenced Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharti (AAP MLA Somnath Bharti) to 2 years in jail and a fine of Rs 1 lakh in a case of assault on security personnel of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The court said in its order that non-payment of penalty will result in additional punishment of one month. A Delhi court gave the verdict on the case of Bharti assaulting AIIMS employees and damaging government property.
Earlier, the court convicted Somnath Bharti in this case, while acquitting four other accused from the case. The four accused were exonerated from the court. However, later the AAP MLA was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 20,000 from the court.
