The Election Commission announced the schedule for the Delhi Assembly elections on Tuesday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in one phase on February 5, 2025. The election results will be declared on February 8, 2025. CEC Rajiv Kumar said that this time 1,55,24,858 (1 crore 55 lakh 24 thousand 858) voters are eligible to vote in Delhi. These include 83.49 lakh male voters and 71.73 lakh female voters. He said that a total of 13033 polling booths will be set up for the Delhi Assembly elections. The Chief Election Commissioner said that there will also be a facility to vote from home for senior citizens above 85 years of age and Divyang voters. Wheelchairs will be arranged and ramps will be built for those Divyangs who want to go to the polling booth and cast their vote.
