Delhi Metro has started free high-speed Wi-Fi service at all stations of the Yellow Line (HUDA City Center to Samaypur Badli) from Sunday with an aim to ensure a better on-the-go travel experience for its commuters. With the beginning of the festive season, this service has also been started at all 37 metro stations of this line. The Yellow Line has most of the underground stations and reaches Gurugram, passing through far North Delhi, Central and South Delhi.

More than 330 access points installed at 37 stations

More than 330 ‘Access Points’ have been set up at these 37 stations to provide high speed internet to the passengers. This free Wi-Fi service will also prove to be a boon for the thousands of students traveling on this line every day near the North Campus of Delhi University.

Passengers on this line will now be able to access free high-speed Wi-Fi and Internet facilities such as e-mail, Facebook, Google search, WhatsApp, video and audio by logging into the network under the name “OUI DMRC FREE Wi-Fi”. Can enjoy calls etc. OUI DMRC Free Wi-Fi service is already available on Blue Line and Airport Express Line. However, these services were partially closed amid the Kovid epidemic.

There are more than 400 access points at 50 stations of Blue Line.

More than 400 ‘Access Points’ have been set up for high speed internet connectivity at 50 Metro stations of Blue Line of Delhi Metro while Airport Express Line (connecting Indira Gandhi International Airport from New Delhi Railway Station to Dwarka Sector-21) More than 50 ‘Access Points’ have been provided at six stations. This free Wi-Fi service is being provided by a consortium led by M/s Techno Sat Com.
