Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) may soon start three more Metro stations in Metro Delhi. This information has been given by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Loksabha.

New Delhi. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which has become the lifeline of Delhi (Delhi), is constantly making new records. Recently, Metro has started a driverless metro train. But now the Metro can soon start three more new stations in Delhi. This information has been given by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Loksabha. According to the minister, a proposal has been made for three new stations. While work is already underway at three stations. This step of the metro will add one more life line to the rail network.




At present, the total operational network of Delhi Metro is about 375 km. It has 271 stations including several corridors. Delhi Metro was started on 25 December 2002, for the first time a metro was run on Shahdara to Tis Hazari line.

 These three stations can join Delhi Metro’s network

According to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, proposals have been received for three new stations. All three proposals have been pushed forward. The proposals have come from Lajpatnagar to G block, Saket, Indralok to Indraprastha and Rithala to Narela to extend the metro line. Whereas in 2019, the work of starting the metro line between Aerocity to Tughlakabad, RK Ashram to Janakpuri (West) and Mukundpur to Maujpur is going on.

Recently gray line metro was started

The three metro stations on the gray line of the Delhi Metro are Dwarka, Nangli and Najafgarh. Nangli and Dwarka stations are elevated while Najafgarh station is underground. Of this 4.2 km long gray line, 2.57 km is above ground while 1.5 km line is below ground. As soon as the gray line starts, the network of Delhi Metro will be 377 kilometers, which will have 274 stations.
