Delhi Metro News: Lakhs of people travel by Delhi Metro every day. Metro is no less than a boon for the working people working in various areas of Delhi NCR.

Delhi Metro, which connects the country’s capital Delhi to various cities of NCR, is a lifeline for millions of people. When Delhi Metro services are disrupted, millions of people are affected. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made an announcement that will increase the troubles of Delhiites. Services on the Metro’s Yellow Line are going to be disrupted not for one or two, but for five days. Trains will not be operated at some metro stations for the scheduled time. This may cause difficulties especially to working people.

Metro services on the Yellow Line will be temporarily affected from the night of November 14 to November 19 due to civil work on the 490 meter long section from Janakpuri West to RK Ashram in Delhi. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), this decision has to be taken due to planned construction work on the 490 meter long section between Janakpuri West and RK Ashram. DMRC said that metro services on this section will be affected for some time from the intervening night of November 14-15 to the intervening night of November 19-20.

Three metro stations most affected

There will be no train service between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri after 10.45 pm till the services resume at 7.02 am. The statement said that three stations (Samaypur Badli, Rohini Sector 18-19 and Haiderpur Badli Mor) will remain closed till the services are restored at 7.02 am. However, during this period, metro services will continue as usual on the remaining parts of the Yellow Line from Jahangirpuri to Millennium City Centre in Gurugram. According to DMRC, announcements will be made inside the stations and metro to reduce inconvenience, which will provide information to the passengers about the destination and platform of the train.

Delhi Metro’s additional trips

GRAP-3 is being implemented due to the alarming condition of air pollution in Delhi. In view of this, Delhi Metro posted on social media that in view of the implementation of GRAP-III from 8:00 am on Friday, 20 additional trips (in addition to the 40 already existing since the implementation of GRAP-II) will be included in the services starting from November 15. Thus, Delhi Metro will run 60 additional trips on weekdays as long as GRAP-III is in force.
