There is some delay in the completion of the construction work of Delhi Mumbai Expressway. The construction of flyovers over the metro line is yet to be completed at four places between DND and Jaitpur. However, it will be started from Jaitpur to Sohna by the end of December. With the opening of this expressway, people going from Delhi to Faridabad will get relief from traffic jams.
People will have to wait longer for the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to go from the capital Delhi to Faridabad. It is difficult for the work of this expressway to be completed even by March next year.
Flyovers are yet to be constructed over the metro line at four places between DND and Jaitpur, due to which there is a possibility of delay. Officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) also believe the same. However, it is a matter of some relief that it will be started from Jaitpur to Sohna by the end of December.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is being constructed from DND. Its work on DND is going on at a fast pace. It was set to start from DND to Mithapur Chowk by March 2025, but now its construction may take more than six months.
In such a situation, the drivers passing through Mathura Road will not get any relief. Currently, due to high traffic pressure, there is a huge jam on Mathura Road in the morning and evening. People coming and going from Noida and Delhi to Faridabad and Badarpur remain stuck in the jam for several hours.
At present, Mathura Road is the main route for the drivers going to Faridabad, Palwal, Agra and beyond. More than 1.5 lakh vehicles pass through Mathura Road every day. The vehicles which currently go to Faridabad and beyond via Mathura Road will be able to use the expressway after it starts and go to their destination without getting stuck in the jam. They will be able to get on the expressway from DND and Kalindi Kunj.

The expressway was to be started in Faridabad in September. NHAI officials said that the work has been affected due to heavy rainfall. Currently, load testing is being done on a part of the expressway. It will be started in Faridabad by the end of October.
Service lane will be of six lanes
