Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: When will the people of Delhi-NCR be able to travel, the date is out

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is currently starting from Sohna. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had prepared a plan to link it to Delhi. It was to build a 59 km long access control link from DND Flyway near Maharani Bagh to Sohna. Its estimated cost is about five thousand crore rupees.

There is good news for the drivers of Delhi-NCR. The movement of vehicles on the corridor being prepared to link the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to DND in the capital will start in the new year. About 12 km of the DND to Faridabad border in Delhi is ready. 50 percent work has been done on about nine km between DND and Jaitpur. At present, entry and exit routes are being made in the link road near DND and Jaitpur. At the same time, the service road of the elevated corridor of about seven km on this part is also almost ready. NHAI officials say that there is an effort to complete the project within the stipulated time. With the start of the journey in the new year, movement on the Delhi-Mumbai Express will become signal free.

In fact, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is currently starting from Sohna. The National Highway Authority (NHAI) had prepared a plan to link it to Delhi. In this, an access control link of about 59 km long was to be built from DND flyover to Sohna near Maharani Bagh. Its estimated cost is about five thousand crore rupees. The entire link is being built in three sections, of which two sections are under construction and vehicles are running on the 26 km long KMP from Faridabad to Sector-65. At the same time, 70 percent of the work on the 24 km stretch from Jaitpur to Sector-65 of Faridabad has been completed. 50 percent of the work on about nine km between DND and Jaitpur has been completed. The Faridabad section is expected to be completed in December and the Delhi section in January-February.

National Highway Authority officials say that an elevated corridor is being prepared in the Delhi section. The construction of the structure is in the final stage. At some places, launchers have not been added, work is being done to add them. Crash barriers and sound barriers have been installed. At the same time, the work of building a service road under the elevated corridor has also been started. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway link road is starting near Sarai Kale Khan near Maharani Bagh. In such a situation, a connecting road will be built here for the drivers going to Noida, Ashram and Delhi Dehradun.

NCR connectivity will be strengthened

NCR connectivity will be strengthened when the 59 km long six-lane link expressway is fully ready. Passengers from Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad will not have to pass through the crowded Mathura Road to reach Palwal, Agra or Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. At present, drivers have to face jams due to heavy traffic pressure on Mathura Road. This is the only route through which one can go to Faridabad, Mathura and Palwal. With the opening of the link expressway, drivers will have an alternative route.

Those going towards Dehradun will also benefit

An elevated road will be taken out from the link expressway towards Sarai Kale Khan. With this, drivers will be able to go directly from this road to Akshardham via Delhi-Meerut Expressway. With this, they will be able to go to Delhi-Dehradun Expressway.
