It also said that heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Delhi and adjoining states till July 4. The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain and thunderstorms with strong winds on Sunday night. According to the Meteorological Department, 9 mm of rain was recorded in the city on Sunday, while the humidity was 60 percent at 5.30 pm.

A New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) official told PTI that the civic body has increased the deployment of staff to deal with waterlogging complaints and is monitoring areas under Lutyens’ Delhi through CCTV cameras. NDMC Vice Chairman Satish Upadhyay said they have deployed four additional pumps in Golf Links and Bharti Nagar, which witnessed severe waterlogging on Friday. Vehicles equipped with three ‘super suction’ machines will continue to patrol vulnerable areas.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 118 at 6 pm on Sunday, which falls in the ‘moderate’ category. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
