Delhi Rain Update: It has started raining once again in the country’s capital Delhi and its surrounding areas. There is still waterlogging at many places in Delhi.
Rain Update: It has started raining once again in Delhi-NCR. The water level of Yamuna rose once again on Monday morning after it rained on Sunday amidst the continuously decreasing water level. The roads of Delhi which were filled with water are being pumped out and many roads have been made operational. Delhi minister Atishi has informed by tweeting that water has been removed from the road near the Red Fort and it will be made operational soon. On the other hand, continuous rains are continuing in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab as well. The low-lying areas near Yamuna in Delhi are still filled with water but now the spread of water and water level is decreasing.
After decreasing the water level of Yamuna in Delhi, once again it increased slightly. The water level which was 205.45 meters at 6 in the morning, but by 7 o’clock it increased and the water level of Yamuna reached 205.48 meters. At the same time, the same water level increased further till 9 am and it reached 205.58 meters. In Delhi, around Akshardham and other low-lying areas are still waterlogged, due to which people living in Khadar area are still forced to live in relief camps.
Many roads opened, rail traffic started on Yamuna bridge
Many roads have been reopened after the waterlogging subsided. The speed of metro trains has become normal on all the four metro bridges built on Yamuna river. Similarly, rail traffic has been started again on the old iron bridge of the railway. Now the road from Sarai Kale Khan to IP flyover and Raj Ghat has been reopened. At the same time, due to waterlogging, the road to Shanti Van and the ring road from Yamuna Bazar to Kashmere Gate ISBT are still closed.
On the other hand, heavy rains are still continuing in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Due to the ongoing rains in Uttarakhand, the water level of river Ganga is increasing rapidly. Due to this, there is a danger of flood in many districts of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Red and Orange alert has been issued in many districts of Uttarakhand.
