Delhi Weather Update: Delhi will have stormy and rainy weather for four days. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain or drizzle along with dust storms in Delhi for four days. During this time, heat wave will also trouble people in some areas. According to IMD, Delhi will remain partly cloudy. There may be dust storm or light rain in the evening or night. During this time, the wind speed can be 25 to 35 kilometers per hour.

There will be heat wave and rain too

The people of Delhi do not seem to get any relief from the hot waves of heat wave. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the people of Delhi may have to face heat wave for the next two days, while dust blowing winds and light drizzle have also been predicted at night.

Relief from scorching heat

It is worth noting that the people of the capital Delhi have been facing severe heat since the second fortnight of last month. During this period, there have been six days when heat wave conditions persisted in Delhi’s standard observatory Safdarjung. But, due to the change in weather due to thunderstorm and light drizzle on Saturday, Delhi has got relief for two days. On Saturday, the heat wave conditions had ended from most parts of Delhi.

Slight reduction in heat waves

On Sunday also, people of Delhi got relief from heat waves. Although the temperature is still higher than normal. But, there was a slight reduction in the heat waves. On Sunday, the maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 42.3 degree Celsius at Safdarjung weather station in Delhi. Which is three degrees higher than normal. Whereas, the minimum temperature was recorded at 30.4 degree Celsius.

Narela and Sports Complex are the hottest

This is also three degrees higher than normal. The humidity level here ranged from 57 to 24 percent. Delhi’s Narela and Sports Complex area were the hottest on Sunday. The maximum temperature in Narela was 45.1 and in Sports Complex it was 45.2 degree Celsius.

Heat waves will trouble you

The weather department has predicted that after two days of relief, heat wave conditions may prevail in most parts of Delhi from Monday onwards. People will have to face hot waves of heat wave during the day. Due to strong sunlight, especially those working in the open and those traveling will have to face more trouble. Whereas, there may be light drizzle along with dust storm at night.

What is the weather like this week?

There is a possibility of heat wave during the day and storm and light drizzle at night on Tuesday as well. This will cause a slight drop in temperature and the maximum temperature on Wednesday may remain up to 43 degrees Celsius. Light rain along with thunderstorm can be seen in Delhi on June 7 as well. During this, the wind speed can be seen between 25 to 35 kilometers per hour.

01 June—44.2 degree Celsius

02 June—42.8 degree Celsius

Delhi’s air became clean

The effect of the change in weather has also been seen on Delhi’s air. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s average air quality index was 173 on Sunday. Air of this level is kept in the medium category. On Saturday, this index was 245. That means the index has improved by 72 points within 24 hours. The air quality is likely to remain around this level during the next two days.
