The maximum temperature recorded at Standard Observatory Safdarjung on Wednesday was 39.1 degrees Celsius. This was the hottest day so far this year. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 17 degrees Celsius. This is three degrees less than normal. The humidity level ranged from 55 to 26 percent. The Meteorological Department estimates that the maximum temperature is expected to remain only 39 degrees Celsius during the next three days.

The heat will not last for now

According to the data, Delhi’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was four degrees above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees below the season’s average. Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist and head of the Regional Meteorological Center, said that the temperature is expected to rise to about 40 degrees Celsius this week, but at present there is no possibility of heat wave as there may be thunderstorms in Delhi on April 13 and 14. .

Air quality again reached poor category

The air of the capital has once again reached the poor category. On Wednesday, the average air quality index of Delhi has crossed 200 points. The wind is expected to remain in similar conditions for the next two days also. Due to various weather reasons, pollution levels generally remained clean in February and March.

Till now even in April, the quality was clean, but in the last few days the level of pollutant particles PM 10 and PM 2.5 in the air has increased. Due to this also the air has reached poor category. According to CPCB, the average air quality index of Delhi stood at 222 points on Wednesday.
