Delhi Weather Update: Yellow alert of heavy rain in Delhi, know when the weather will worsen

Delhi-NCR Weather Update: The weather is going to worsen in Delhi NCR areas from April 18. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of bad weather in Delhi for two days. The Meteorological Department says that there will be strong thunderstorms in Delhi on 18 and 19 April. During this period, light rain or drizzle can also be seen at some places. Meteorologists say that seasonal activities will be at its peak in Delhi NCR on April 19. IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding this.

According to the All India Weather Bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is present over Iran and its surrounding areas in the form of a cyclonic circulation. It is likely to affect northwest India from April 18. Under its influence, widespread light to moderate rain or snowfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during April 18 to 21. During this period, winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Due to the impact of this western disturbance, there is a possibility of light rain in many areas along with strong winds for two days in the national capital Delhi. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding heavy rain on Friday. According to IMD, due to rain and strong wind, there will be relief from heat in the areas of Delhi NCR for the next five days. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 35 to 37 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to be between 21 to 23 degrees.

The temperature in Delhi has remained around normal for the last few days. Despite bright sunshine in Delhi on Wednesday, the feeling of heat remained less. While the maximum temperature in Delhi was 35.8 degrees on Tuesday, the maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 35.1 degrees. This is two degrees less than normal. There was a decrease of about three degrees in the minimum temperature on Wednesday. While the minimum temperature on Tuesday was 23.5 degrees, the minimum temperature on Wednesday was 20.8 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed will be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour along with rain in Delhi on Thursday and Friday. The sky will remain cloudy for the next few days due to which the weather will remain pleasant. Wind will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour in Delhi on coming Sunday also. On Thursday, the maximum temperature of Delhi is likely to be 36 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be 22 degrees.

After the rain, the maximum temperature on Friday will be around 34 degrees. The relief from pollution in the capital will continue for the next three days. At present, pollution in Delhi remains in the moderate category. Delhi’s air quality index was recorded at 145 on Wednesday. ITO and Lodhi Road were the areas in Delhi where the air quality index remained below 100 points. There is a possibility of further decline in the air quality index due to two days of rain and strong wind.
