When a 27-year-old woman, resident of Sanjay Nagar area of Gwalior, reached the police with her complaint, the police were stunned to hear the matter. He told the police about his brother-in-law’s special demand.
The woman, who reached Janakganj police station at midnight, was in a bad condition and was crying. She was very scared of her brother-in-law’s actions. The woman told the police that at midnight her brother-in-law assaulted her and also threatened to kill her. The woman said that her brother-in-law can do any untoward incident to her at any time.
Why did brother-in-law beat sister-in-law?
The woman reached Janakganj police station and told the police that her brother-in-law had reached home at around 12:30 in the night. During this time, brother-in-law had a bag in his hand and when he opened the bag, he saw that it contained woman’s clothes. Brother-in-law said to sister-in-law, ‘Sister-in-law, I have brought these clothes for you. This is my gift to you and you wear these clothes right now and show them to me.
The woman further said that she was stunned to hear this from her brother-in-law. She refused to show her brother-in-law wearing those clothes. After which the brother-in-law became enraged at the sister-in-law. As soon as the sister-in-law refused, the brother-in-law misbehaved with her and started beating her. During this time, hearing the noise of the fight between the two, all the other family members also came out and started defending the woman, but the brother-in-law did not stop and beat the sister-in-law fiercely.
Police registered a case against brother-in-law
Giving more information about the case, CSP Ashok Singh Jadaun said that on the complaint of the woman, a case has been registered against the accused brother-in-law under several sections. But the accused is absconding since the incident. Efforts are being made to catch him. CSP said that the accused will be arrested soon.
