There were reports that the main character of the show, Jethalal, is leaving the show. It was also being said that there are fights between Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi. In the heat, Dilip grabbed the collar of the show’s maker and producer Asit Kumar Modi and also threatened to leave the show.

Things have not happened between me and Asit Bhai, all false news is being spread. I am saddened to see these things. ‘Tarak Mehta’ is a show that means a lot to me and millions of fans like it. Whenever someone spreads baseless rumours, the true viewers of the show get hurt.
“These rumours have ruined the good things that have been shown in the show for so many years. My heart is hurting to see so much negativity. Whenever a rumour comes out, it seems like we have to come forward and explain wrong things again and again, which do not have even an iota of truth in them. All this is tiring. It is also frustrating, because this is not just about us, but also about our fans and the people who love the show. I am feeling upset after reading all this.”
“Earlier there were rumours about me leaving the show which were false. Every week all this is coming out about me. Now new stories are being fabricated to tarnish Asit bhai’s reputation.
