Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced this partnership with Amazon Pay on Thursday.

How can you get Delhi Metro tickets from Amazon Pay?

To get Delhi Metro tickets from Amazon Pay, the customer has to choose the option of Delhi Metro QR ticket under the Amazon Pay tab. Then they have to select the stations ‘from where’ and ‘where to’. After this, they can make online payment and get QR tickets on their mobile phones.

What are the officials saying?

Metro officials say that with the help of this unique ticketing system, passengers can buy metro tickets on the go. Passengers will have to place their smartphones in front of the QR code scanner at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates to enter and exit the metro stations. This will provide a quick, contactless and hassle-free experience for millions of passengers traveling by Delhi Metro daily.

DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar said on this occasion, “Partnering with Amazon Pay for QR tickets will make daily travel more efficient and convenient for passengers. It also reduces paper wastage and supports our eco-friendly efforts.

At the same time, Amazon Pay India Director Anuradha Agarwal says that we are excited to launch the Metro QR ticket system on Amazon Pay. This will make travel easier for millions of people. This eliminates the need to take tokens and return cash while buying tickets. According to DMRC, the metro transports about 65 lakh passengers to their destinations every day on various routes of Delhi-NCR.
