DND-KMP Expressway: Of the 59 KM long expressway that starts from the DND flyover near Maharani Bagh in Delhi, 12.5 km is being built within Delhi. Construction work within Delhi started late.
National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) management has started preparations to run traffic on the 148 NA-DND-KMP Expressway in Faridabad limits from October. The deadline for the expressway work in Faridabad city limits has now been extended. The work was getting delayed due to intermittent rains, due to which the NHAI management has extended its deadline.
At present, the final phase of this expressway is underway within the city limits. This includes the construction of service roads, ramps on both sides of the expressway to connect it to the nearby roads, white stripes, zebra crossings, street lights, plantation of trees and sign boards.
At the same time, work is going on to add slabs in Sector-3-8, BPTP flyover, Sector-37 flyover etc. A target has been set to complete the work of all the flyovers within 20 days. Only minor work is left on these flyovers. NHAI management hopes that the flyover work from Mithapur border of Delhi-Faridabad to Sector-65 Expressway will be completed by 30 September. As soon as this work is done, 46.5 kilometers of work will be completed in the border of Haryana out of this 59 kilometer long expressway. Traffic is running on the expressway from Sector-65 to Mandkaula village of Palwal. From October, drivers will be able to travel directly from Mithapur in Delhi to Mandkaula village.
Toll has started in Kiranj village
This expressway will be toll free in the Delhi and Faridabad border. Toll plaza has started on this expressway in Kiranj village before Mandkaula village of Palwal. You can travel toll free from Maharani Bagh in Delhi to the interchange built for boarding and deboarding on Delhi-Agra Highway in Kail village of Faridabad. This will be the first toll free expressway to travel from Faridabad to Delhi
Work will be completed next year in Delhi border
Out of this 59 km long expressway starting from DND flyover near Maharani Bagh in Delhi, 12.5 km part is being built in Delhi border. Construction work started late in Delhi border. More than seven km part is elevated. This expressway will be completed after March next year in Delhi border.
