State Bank of India is providing banking facilities to citizens above 70 years of age and disabled customers three times a month at home without any charges. To avail this facility, the bank branch should be around 5 kilometers from the house.

To find a solution to this problem, banks are providing facilities like ‘Bank Aapke Dwar’ (Doorstep Banking Service). State Bank of India, the country’s largest government bank, is now providing banking facilities to its senior citizen customers sitting at home and that too absolutely free.

Keeping in mind its senior citizens and disabled customers, State Bank of India is providing doorstep banking facility for many services including depositing or withdrawing money or submitting any other document. Although banks charge something for the convenience of banking at home, State Bank of India is providing these services for free to its disabled customers. The bank says that doorstep banking service is provided to disabled customers three times a month absolutely free of cost. After three, you will have to pay for more services.

You can do this work sitting at home

In doorstep banking service, you can deposit money in your bank account sitting at home. Can withdraw money. You can deposit the cheque. Services like submitting life certificate for pension, submitting documents for KYC etc. can be availed sitting at home. You can withdraw up to Rs 20,000 from your bank account sitting at home.

How to take advantage of this facility

For doorstep banking, you will have to get registered in the SBI branch where you have your account. For this facility, a charge of Rs 100 along with GST will have to be paid on money related transactions and Rs 60 along with GST on non-cash activities.
