Finance Department Special Secretary Neel Ratan Kumar has issued government orders related to the approval of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief of state government pensioners, family pensioners etc. Dearness allowance at the rate of 46% will be provided to pensioners from July 1, 2023.
Let us tell you that at present they are being provided dearness allowance and dearness relief at the rate of 42%. The order will also be applicable to such pensioners of educational institutions aided by state funds under the Technical Education Department, who are being given the benefits of pension-family pension on par with government pensioners.
The Yogi government’s special special may impose a burden of Rs 650 crore on the state government. According to the information given by the former Secretary of the Secretariat Association, the arrears of dearness relief at increased rate from July to October will also be made available to them along with the pension of November. In such a situation, this is being considered a big gift for the retired employees.
Here too, orders have been issued by the Principal Secretary of the department, Deepak Kumar, to give the benefit of increase in dearness allowance to the All India Service officers posted in Uttar Pradesh from July 1, 2023. In such a situation, dearness allowance will be provided at the rate of 46% while separate orders will be issued for High Court judges, local bodies and public sector employees. In such a situation, there will be a big increase in the salary of the employees due to increased pension including four months arrear amount.
