Driving License: The transport department is making 58 services faceless, including RC and driving license applications. Ghaziabad RTO will soon implement these services, which will reduce the role of middlemen and corruption.
Driving License: Uttar Pradesh Transport Department is busy in making itself hi-tech. Ghaziabad Regional Transport Office is also going to make its 58 services completely faceless. This means that people will no longer have to go to the RTO office for RC, driving license and vehicle fitness copy. After about ten days of demo, the new system will be implemented in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur and Bulandshahr districts. This will allow people to get their work done sitting at home. The biggest advantage of the department’s services being online will be that the interference of middlemen in important works like RC and vehicle fitness certificate will stop and corruption will reduce.
So far nine services have been made online. Now the number of these services is being increased to 43. The department intends to make 58 services online, but there are legal difficulties in making some services online. As soon as these problems are resolved, they will also be made online.
Action will have to be taken on the application within the stipulated time
The biggest advantage of the RTO office services being online will be that the employees will not be able to delay people’s work without any reason. After applying for any work, that application will have to be accepted or rejected within a stipulated time. The advantage of this will be that people will not have to wait long to get any of their papers.
Fitness centre to open next month
Two more fitness centres will be opened in Ghaziabad to test the fitness of vehicles. Currently, one fitness centre is operational in Dasna. One more centre will open by the end of next month. The file for the second centre is in process. After the opening of these two centres, the number of vehicle fitness testing centres in the district will increase to three. Currently, since there is only one centre, it takes a lot of time to test the fitness of vehicles.
