Driving licenses of more than 10 thousand drivers violating traffic rules in Bihar will be suspended or cancelled. More than half of these drivers are from Patna alone. Driving License suspended: Driving licenses of more than 10 thousand drivers who break traffic rules in the state will be suspended or cancelled. Out of these, more than five thousand drivers are from Patna alone. Apart from this, drivers from Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Bihar Sharif are also included in large numbers.
In a press conference held at the Police Headquarters on Monday, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Traffic Sudhanshu Kumar said that drivers who violate traffic rules three or more times are being identified and a recommendation is being made to suspend their driving licenses.
Eye on 10 thousand drivers
In the first phase, more than ten thousand drivers have been identified. Its proposal has been sent to the District Transport Officer (DTO) by the concerned district police. The purpose of this action is that drivers follow traffic rules responsibly.
According to the transport rules, once the driving license is suspended, the facility of driving license will not be available for at least three months. After three months, one will have to apply again and get the driving license.

Violating red light
Carrying three passengers on two-wheelers

From January 26, women will be in charge of Patna’s entire traffic system
From January 26, the entire traffic of Patna’s urban area will be in the hands of women police personnel. Traffic SP Aparajit Lohan said that from Republic Day, all the 54 major check posts of Patna will be operated by the women police force.
More than 60 women police officers and more than 250 women police personnel and home guard personnel are being deployed for these check posts.
Patna traffic police gets 8 dolphin vehicles
For traffic management, eight dolphin vehicles of Bihar Police have also been given to Patna traffic police. From driver to constable, all the people on these dolphin vehicles doing police patrolling will be women.
Traffic SP said that currently there are 1374 policemen in Patna Traffic Force. About 300 of them are women policemen. The target is to increase the percentage of women in traffic police to 30. About 35 women police officers and more than 50 women policemen have been demanded from Patna SSP.
He said that for the first time, the women unit of Patna Traffic Police will also participate in the Republic Day parade to be held on 26 January.
