According to the instructions received from the Police Training and Research Institute (PTRI), Police Headquarters, ‘All the Regional and District Transport Officers have been directed that the accused of committing serious crime against women should be executed immediately after getting information from the Police Department. Licenses should be canceled with immediate effect ‘. However, transport officials will be able to revoke the driving license of a criminal only if the victim woman has filed a police case against the offender.
New holders will have to give a character certificate to get a license
If a new person wants to get his license made in the state, then it is necessary for him to give his character certificate. Only after verification of the character certificate, a new holder will be able to get his license. Following instructions from the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety Implementation Committee, PTRI Police Headquarters, the transport authorities have issued a letter to all the RTOs in this regard, so that women crime can be curbed.
