Consideration is also being made to increase the insurance premium
Not only this, the government is considering increasing the insurance premium for those people who have not paid at least 2 challans from the last financial year. However, the government is also preparing to implement a comprehensive standard operating procedure to find out who has not paid the challan due to late information and error. The government is also considering sending text messages every month to those people who are not paying the challan to inform them to pay the pending challan.
The country’s capital Delhi is at the bottom in the payment of challans
The country’s capital Delhi is at the bottom in the recovery of online challans. Only 14 percent of challans are being paid online in Delhi. In Karnataka, 21 percent of challans are being paid online. Whereas in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, 27 percent payments are being made. In Maharashtra, 62 percent of online challan payments are made. In this, Haryana is at the top with a recovery rate of 76 percent.
