DTC Bus Fire: DTC bus running in Delhi became a ball of fire, two shops were also hit, watch video

New Delhi. A sudden fire broke out in a moving DTC bus in Mahipalpur area on Wednesday afternoon. Soon the fire engulfed the entire bus. The bus driver saved his life by jumping off the bus. Due to the burning of the bus on the middle road, there was a jam on the road. A tea and a cooler shop located near the spot also came in the grip of flames. The LPG cylinder exploded in the tea shop. At the same time, there was a lot of damage in the cooler shop.

Thankfully no one was injured in the accident. There was no passenger in the bus when the fire broke out. The police have registered a case. At the same time, Manoj C, Deputy Commissioner of Police of South-West District said that the cause of the fire is being investigated.

According to the information, a fire broke out in the DTC’s route number 534 bus of Ghazipur depot at 2.20 pm on Wednesday. The bus was on its way to the airport. On receiving information about the fire, two vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot. During this, a tea and a cooler shop located near the spot also caught fire.

Due to this, six more vehicles were called to the spot. In some time the fire brigade extinguished the fire in the bus and shops. According to the fire brigade, it has been found in the preliminary investigation that the bus may have caught fire due to engine overheating or short circuit. There was no passenger in the bus at the time of the accident. An eyewitness said that due to the fire in the bus and shops, smoke continued to rise in the area for a long time.
