During the IPL held in UAE this year, a nurse from Delhi approached an Indian player and asked for secret information related to the match.
A nurse from Delhi tried to get some confidential information about the team by contacting an Indian player during the IPL 2020 held in UAE this year. This nurse works in a private hospital in Delhi. The woman is accused that she had sought this confidential information through social media for the purpose of betting on the IPL match from this player.
According to a news from the English daily The Indian Express, ‘This nurse contacted this player on September 30, when the IPL 2020 had started. This player had informed the BCCI’s Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) and the matter was closed after investigation.
The player whom this nurse contacted, had played cricket for India A about two years ago. However, his name has not been revealed yet. BCCI’s ACU Chief Ajit Singh told this newspaper, ‘During the IPL that player had informed us about it. We investigated it and now this case has been closed. Ajit Singh said, “The woman who approached this player had no connection with any betting gang and her manner was also very clumsy.”
He told, ‘We thoroughly investigated this matter. The accused knew the player. When that player complained to us about this matter, we took all the information and later called the woman for questioning as well. But nothing was received from him. Now this case has been closed.
Giving information about this case, it was told, ‘This nurse had described herself as a doctor in Delhi, who works in a private hospital. However, that cricketer has never met any woman. Both of them were connected to each other through social media.
This cricketer told that he has no information about the woman, where she lives and what she does. During an online conversation she had said that she wants to bet and for that she wants to get some information related to the match and playing XI.
