This closure will last from March 18 to April 30, which will affect the traffic on the Dwarka Expressway.
People are facing traffic jams
The reason for this closure is the expansion joint replacement work, which will be done on the entry road towards Delhi from the elevated service road. During this time, passengers may face traffic jams, which may delay their journey. NHAI officials have advised passengers going towards Delhi from Dhankot and Basai to use the service road. After this, they can come to the main carriageway after Bijwasan toll plaza. However, officials have also clarified that there will be no impact on the movement of all other traffic on the expressway.
Better traffic management solutions should be implemented
The NHAI announcement has raised concerns among locals and daily commuters. People of Sector 108 say that this will lead to heavy traffic jams during peak hours. The authorities should have planned an alternate route to avoid inconvenience. Commuters are requesting the NHAI to implement better traffic management solutions to minimise inconvenience during the shutdown period.
