e-Shram Card: The central government has started the e-Shram portal to prepare and maintain a database of crores of workers in the unorganized sector. Its objective is the prosperity of crores of workers of the country. A large number of workers have already registered on the e-shram portal eshram.gov.in. This is a national database of workers which was announced by the Modi government under the Ministry of Labor. The goal of the e-shram portal is to connect more than 38 crore workers. E-Shram Cards will be given to these people.

Right now, no official order has been issued by the Central Government or by the Ministry of Labor and Employment regarding the last date of registration on this e-Shram Portal. That is why workers can now get their e-shram card made without any hassle.
Any worker can register by visiting this registration portal. Let us tell you that the registration on the e-Shram Portal is completely free. The workers will not have to make any payment for this at the Common Service Center (CSC) or anywhere.
You will get 12 digit unique number
The Union Ministry of Labor and Employment will issue a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and e-Shram Card for the workers of the unorganized sector, which will be valid across the country. E-shram card will give a new identity to crores of unorganized workers of the country. This labor card will help them to get the benefit of social security schemes of the government in future.
