Chandigarh. E-Vehicle Policy in Haryana: There is good news for those buying e-vehicles in Haryana including Gurugram and Faridabad. The state government will give exemption in registration for the purchase of e-vehicle. Along with this, special concession will also be given for converting petrol and diesel vehicles into electric vehicles. On buying e-vehicles to the government employees of the state, the government will give them a special concession. Haryana government is preparing e-vehicle policy in the state. Under this, the purchase of electric vehicles will be encouraged.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that e-vehicles will prove to be very important in controlling the problem of pollution in the state. Keeping this in mind, the state government is preparing a policy to encourage e-vehicles. He said that special concession would be given to the government employees in Haryana on purchasing the first electric vehicle. Apart from this, financial assistance of up to Rs 5 crore will be given for research and development in the field of e-mobility in the institutions.
Concession will be given for converting commercial vehicles powered by petrol and diesel to electrical
Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chaitala on Thursday brainstormed about the Electric Vehicle Policy with the high officials of various departments. Chautala said that all e-vehicles will be given exemption at the time of registration and along with this concession will also be given to commercial vehicles powered by petrol and diesel for converting them into electrical ones. The state government plans to have a large number of e-vehicles in the state in the year 2022.
E-vehicle policy will be launched by next month
Deputy Chief Minister Chautala informed that ‘Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy’ is being made by the state government by focusing on the e-vehicle manufacturers, drivers and people setting up charging stations, in which special exemptions will be given to them. It is the endeavor of the state government that the policy being made for the e-vehicle should be the best in the whole country. For this, three rounds of discussions have been held with the officials and now the final consultations have been held. This policy will be implemented in the next one month.
