MP Bhopal Kanpur Economic Corridor: Before Diwali, the Modi Government of the Center has given a big gift to Madhya Pradesh. The Modi government has approved Rs 3589.4 crore to upgrade the Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor to 4-lane. This will give new impetus to road development in Madhya Pradesh and improve regional trade and connectivity.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has thanked PM Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for giving the priceless gift of development path to MP. He said that under the guidance of the PM, the MP government is writing a new chapter of development through increasing road connectivity. The upgradation of Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor to 4-lane will accelerate the economic development of this region, along with smooth traffic, road accidents will also decrease.

Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor will bring huge benefits

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved Rs 3589.4 crore for Bhopal to Vidisha, Vidisha to Gyaraspur, Sataighat to Chauka and Chauka to Kaimha packages to upgrade the Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor to 4-lane in Madhya Pradesh. This upgrade will ease traffic in the region and significantly reduce travel time, which will boost business activities and strengthen the local economy. Along with this, Rs 592 crore has also been approved for the Mandla-Nainpur route.

Connectivity of Madhya Pradesh and UP will increase

Actually, the MP government had announced the Bundelkhand Vikas Path under its Sankalp Patra, which is an important 4-lane road project connecting Bhopal to Sagar and Chhatarpur districts of Bundelkhand. Its aim is to improve connectivity from Bhopal to Sagar via Chhatarpur and UP border, which will increase regional trade and traffic ease. The process of expanding this route to 4-lane by NHAI was already underway, but approval was pending for some parts. In the meeting held in New Delhi, permission has been given to upgrade this route to 4-lane from Bhopal to Sagar and Chhatarpur to UP border and the total cost has been fixed at Rs 3589.4 crore. This path will not only improve connectivity but will also promote regional economic development and business activities.

Approval of 592 crores for Mandla-Nainpur road

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also approved Rs 592 crores for upgrading the 46 km long road from Mandla to Nainpur. The upgradation of this road will make the traffic system of the region more safe and efficient. These projects will promote employment generation and regional economic activities along with the development of infrastructure in the state. Also, on completion of the projects, not only will the traffic be smooth, but industrial and business activities will also reach new heights.
