Bhiwani CTM Harbir Singh today flagged off the voter awareness chariot on the instructions of the Election Commission of India. This chariot will go from village to village in all the four assemblies of Bhiwani district to attract new voters. Along with this, a BLO meeting was held in the Panchayat Bhawan of Bhiwani and necessary instructions were also given to the BLO regarding the campaign of making new votes, amending, cutting votes etc. from 27th October to 9th December as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India.
On this occasion, CTM Harbir Singh and District Election Officer Jaiveer Singh Siwach said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a special campaign is being run from October 27 to December 9, in which the youth who will complete 18 years of age on January 1, 2024 can cast their vote. Can get it made. Apart from this, the work of name and address amendment and vote deduction etc. can be done. For this, new voters will have to submit these documents along with birth certificate, Aadhar card and color photograph to the district election office or BLO of the concerned area. Apart from this, online applications can also be made on NVS portal.
He said that a new voter list is being prepared by running a special campaign in all the colleges of Bhiwani district. For this, nodal officers have also been appointed in Bhiwani, Loharu, Tosham and Bawanikheda assembly constituencies. There are 8 lakh 53 thousand 553 voters in Bhiwani district, out of which 4 lakh 52 thousand 486 are male voters and 4 lakh 767 are female voters. He told that those voters who have completed 18 or more years of age on January 1, 2024, can cast their vote. He said that to encourage the new voters, the Election Commission will select the voters from the new voter list and gift them laptops, iPads and phones, so that the new voters get more motivated to cast their vote.
BLO Satbir Singh and Chandiram, who are taking BLO training, said that through today’s workshop they were told that they have to make the vote of every young voter, so that the youth can use their vote in the 2024 elections. For this, a special campaign is being run from 27th October to 9th December on the instructions of the Election Commission of India. Under this, instructions have been given to BLOs to sit at every booth on 4th and 5th November and 2nd and 3rd December.
