Yogi government is once again going to launch One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) for defaulting electricity consumers. This scheme will start from 8th November and will run till 31st December 2023. It will be implemented in three phases.
Facility to pay dues in installments
Under the One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS), apart from defaulting domestic consumers, commercial, private institutions, private tube wells and industrial consumers will also be able to get exemption in surcharge. Not only this, there will also be a facility to pay the dues in installments.
This scheme will be implemented in three phases for 54 days. The first phase will run from 8 to 30 November, the second from 1 to 15 December and the third from 16 to 31 December. Under the scheme, special attention has been given to domestic consumers (LMV-1) and farmers (MLV-5). They have been given the facility to pay the outstanding amount in maximum 12 installments with 100% rebate in surcharge.
This much discount on payment of 1 kilowatt
Those with load up to one kilowatt will get 100% rebate on surcharge if full payment is made by December 15, whereas after that there will be 80% rebate. Under this, if you register till 15th December, you will get 90% discount on payment in 12 installments and thereafter 70% discount. There will be only 60% discount on payment in three installments and 50% discount on payment in 6 installments.
Commercial consumers (LMV-2) up to 3 kW load will get 80% on the total payment till 30th November, while after that the discount will be reduced by 10% to 50% depending on the second-third phase and the number of installments. Commercial consumers with load more than 3 kilowatts will be able to avail 30 to 60 percent discount.
