Electricity Bill Reduced: Electricity bill has become a headache for the citizens of most states of the country. In the summer season, electricity consumption is more. Due to this, the electricity bill also comes higher. In this scorching heat, the Haryana government has now given such news to the electricity consumers, which will cool their heart. Now in Haryana, if there is monthly electricity consumption of 10 units to 100 units, the bill will be only Rs 200. This was announced by Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Monday while launching the Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme in Ambala.

Chief Minister Naib Saini said that the government has abolished the monthly minimum charge in the electricity bill. Now the bill will be as much as the electricity people consume. The government has also decided that those who consume 10 units to 100 units of electricity will have to pay only Rs 200. It is worth noting that assembly elections are to be held in Haryana this year. After not winning the expected number of seats in the Lok Sabha elections, the current BJP government of the state is now working hard to woo the people and has made many important announcements in public interest.

PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme launched

Today, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini also launched the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme in Haryana. On this occasion, he said that under this scheme, the central government will provide a subsidy of Rs 60,000 for installing 2 kW rooftop solar panels. At the same time, the Haryana government will provide additional assistance of up to Rs 50,000 to one lakh poor families whose average monthly electricity consumption is up to 200 units and whose annual income in the family identity card is up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand.

Monthly charges abolished

The Haryana government has already announced the waiver of monthly electricity charges. Now, households in the state that have meters up to 2 kilowatts will have to pay electricity bills only for the units consumed. This decision of the government will benefit about nine and a half lakh electricity consumers in the state. Till now, the electricity department was charging Rs 115 per kilowatt as monthly charge from consumers. The bill used to increase when this charge was added to the amount of units consumed.
