Under this, farmers using tube wells in rural and urban areas will not have to pay a single rupee bill. A total of about 1.5 crore farmers will benefit from this decision. Under this, no bill will be payable from 1/04/2023, interest-free payment scheme will be introduced on earlier outstanding bills.
There will be 100% rebate in the electricity bills of a total of 14 lakh 78 thousand tube wells (5,188), both types of urban tube wells. There are about 14 lakh 73 thousand tube wells in rural areas. There are 5,188 tube wells in the urban area. 100% rebate has been given in the electricity bill of a total of 14 lakh 78 thousand tube wells of both types.
Approval of two 800 MW power plant units in Anpara
Apart from this, the Cabinet has approved two power plant units of 800 MW in Anpara with 50%-50% (State Government and NTPC) participation in the context of the agreement signed with NTPC in the Global Investor Summit. The total cost in this will be ₹8624 crore. The first unit will be operational in approximately 50 months, the second unit will start in the next 6 months.
Along with this, the proposal for exemption of stamp duty and registration fees for 3 units of 660 MW supercritical power in Ghatampur of Power Corporation has been approved. The proposal regarding Green Hydrogen Policy 2024 has been approved.
The proposal regarding revised cost for drinking water project in Agra has been approved in the Urban Development Department. Also, the proposal regarding Matribhoomi Arpan Yojana has been approved, 40% of the work will be borne by the state government, 60% of the work can be done by a particular person, this includes CCTV, solar lights, parks, and other civic facilities, a governing body will be formed for this. Council will be formed.
In order to increase the production of maize for the farmers in the Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Education, the State Government will run the Accelerated Maize Development Scheme in all 75 districts, before this it was run in 11 districts with the help of the Central Government. The proposal to construct Mahatma Gautam Buddha University of Agricultural Technology in Kushinagar in EPC mode has been approved, the estimated cost is Rs 434 crore 60 lakh. The agricultural sector has approved the proposal of a research center for research at a cost of Rs 11 crore 95 lakh.
