Till now this facility was available only for consumers up to four kilowatts. About two lakh consumers of up to nine kilowatts in the district can avail the facilities of the Electricity Corporation.
There are more than 3.25 lakh consumers of Electricity Corporation in the district. Most of the domestic category consumers are included in this. According to Electricity Corporation officials, consumers always complained that the meter reader had not arrived, due to which their electricity bill had not been prepared. At the same time, meter readers also complain that due to the house being closed, they have not been able to take the meter reading of the concerned consumer. In such a situation, the Electricity Corporation has started the facility of preparing the electricity bill itself for the convenience of the consumers.
According to the officials of the Electricity Corporation, this facility has been started for the consumers to avoid the trouble of not receiving the bill on time and disconnection of the connection if the bill is not deposited. For this the consumer will have to download the UPPCL app. With this, consumers will be able to prepare their own electricity bills sitting at home. Along with this, you can also prepare the bill by going to the UPPCL website and choosing the self bill option. Once the consumer applies for bill preparation, the electricity bill will be received on the consumer’s mobile through message, WhatsApp and e-mail within 24 to 48 hours. This will also eliminate complaints from consumers like wrong billing and not making bills on time.

After this open the app. In this the consumer will have to sign in. In this, the consumer will have to enter the name of the district, name of the discom and account number of the electricity connection. After this you will have to submit. After this, all the facilities of Electricity Corporation will be available on the app. There will also be an option to generate bill. The consumer has to upload the current reading along with the photo. After this, the bill will be ready within 24 to 48 hours of submission. Similarly, consumers will also be able to prepare bills from the UPVCL website.
