Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company will do KYC (Know Your Customer) process of 50 lakh consumers of all categories of 16 districts. This includes 6 lakh consumers of Bhopal city. Like Aadhar, Single Citizen ID of these consumers will also be made. For this, authorized meter readers will go door to door with the company’s photo ID. They will also ask for Samagra ID and Property ID from consumers. Consumers’ personal information, Samagra ID, mobile number, bank account etc. information will also be updated.
Property ID will be taken only in urban areas
HD Kshitij Singhal of the company said that the authorized meter readers of the company will reach the spot with POS machine. KYC process will be completed using Nishtha app. Meter readers will verify it through OTP sent to the mobile number registered in Samagra ID from the consumer. Apart from this, information about the consumer’s approved load, house photo and bank account will be taken. Property ID will be collected only in urban areas.
Electricity thieves will be able to pay bills online
Consumers who steal electricity and commit electricity fraud can now pay on the company’s website portal.mpcz.in. On the portal portal.mpcz.in, click on View/Pay Bill given in LT Services and go to the Vigilance bill option. After this, for online payment, one of the options will have to be selected from consumer number or panchnama/page number.
