New Delhi: If you live in Delhi, then this news is of great use to you. Now you can save Rs 20 by depositing your electricity and water bills for your home. This scheme is for those people living in NDMC area who do not want hard copy of electricity or water bills, they will get Rs 20 discount on each bill. A soft copy of the electricity-water bill will be sent to such people through e-mail or other digital mode. If someone wants to change his Know Your Consumer (KYC) number, that too can be done online. From Saturday, NDMC will set up help desks in 13 residential colonies to clear irregularities in electricity and water bills.
How many people will get benefit?
There are 56,116 consumers of electricity and more than 18,000 consumers of water in NDMC area. Many of these are consumers who have been troubled for a long time due to irregularities in electricity and water bills and are visiting NDMC offices. Many people also complain that their bills are coming in excess, while their consumption of electricity and water is not that much.
Help desk will be set up by August 31
To redress all such complaints, help desks (camps) will be set up in residential and market areas of NDMC from August 19 to 31, where people can get on-spot redressal of complaints. On August 19, a help desk will be set up in the Club House of New Moti Bagh for the people living in New Moti Bagh and surrounding areas. On August 20, a camp will be organized for the people of Kidwai Nagar (East) and surrounding areas at NBCC Sewa Kendra, Tower-2. A separate camp will also be organized for those who want to deposit their electricity and water bills in the camp itself. This camp will run from 19 to 25 August.
Those who want to change their e-KYC can also do so in this camp. If they want to change the e-KYC number on their own, they can do it themselves by visiting the NDMC website (https://online.ndmc.gov.in/ekyc/). People can make changes by filling consumer number, name and mobile number.
