Offered in April
Musk offered to buy social media company Twitter in April this year. However, after the deal and its price were confirmed, Allen complained about the spam account and told to cancel the deal. The company moved the court against it, where Musk finally approved the deal after an allegation debate and reached Twitter’s headquarters on Thursday.
The court gave Musk the option of completing the deal or facing trial. Musk then changed his mind in October, and he approved the purchase of Twitter for $54.20 per share if the company withdraws its case. However, Twitter’s lawyer at the time said that Musk’s move was to hang the deal and that he was once again misleading. After this, the court said that Musk would have to decide on the deal by October 28 at any cost.
Musk explains the reason for buying Twitter
Elon Musk wrote in a message, “The biggest reason I bought Twitter is to provide a platform for the society of the future, where an issue can be discussed in a civilized manner with more trust and no violence in it.” It is quite dangerous that social media seems to be divided into two parts. Some are talking about the right wing and some are talking about the left wing. It will also work to divide our society.
