Tamilnadu Employees Bonus: Before Diwali, there is good news for lakhs of government employees of Tamil Nadu. The state’s M.K. Stalin government has decided to give bonus and ex-gratia to the employees of state public sector undertakings (PSUs) and statutory boards for the financial year 2023-24.
This decision of the state government will benefit 2,75,670 lakh employees. Under this, eligible employees will be given a minimum bonus of Rs 8,400 and a maximum of Rs 16,800. The government will spend Rs 369.65 crore on this move. However, a separate order will be issued on bonus and ex-gratia for the employees of cooperative institutions and other organizations.
Who will get how much bonus
All eligible workers of profit-making PSUs under Group C and D will be given a minimum bonus of Rs 8,400 and a maximum bonus of Rs 16,800, which will be equal to 8.33 percent bonus and 11.67 percent ex-gratia.
Employees of PSUs that do not have permissible surplus will be given 8.33 percent bonus and 1.67 percent ex-gratia. The CM has ordered the payment of bonus and ex-gratia to a total of 2,75,670 employees of the state’s PSUs.
20 percent bonus and ex-gratia to workers and employees of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), State Transport Undertakings, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation and Cooperative Milk Producers Union.
10 percent bonus and ex-gratia to Group C and D employees in Tamil Nadu Housing Board and Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Drainage Board.
Employees of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board will be given an 8.33 per cent bonus and employees of the Civil Supplies Corporation will be given an ex-gratia of Rs 3,000.
