Under the order issued by the Finance Minister, the DA of the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies receiving pay in the pay scale Grade Pay as per the Sixth Central Pay Commission has been amended. Dearness Allowance in respect of employees in the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies are drawing their salaries from the pre-revised pay scale as per the Sixth Central Pay Commission.
Their dearness allowance will be paid as per the prevailing rate of their basic pay. Their dearness allowance has been increased from 221% to 230%. Whereas it will be implemented from July 1, 2023.
In such a situation, with an increase of 9 percent in the dearness allowance of the employees receiving the 6th pay scale, their salary will see an increase of Rs 5 to 7 thousand. They will also be paid 4 months’ arrears amount in the month of December. Also their salary can increase up to Rs 48000.
Dearness allowance of railway employees including Gramin Dak Sevak was increased. Apart from this, dearness allowance of bank employees has also been increased. More than a dozen state governments have also increased da by four adjectives.
