Payment of arrears in October November and December 2023
Madhya Pradesh government has issued orders to increase the dearness allowance of the employees getting the sixth pay scale. According to the order issued in the month of August, their dearness allowance has been increased at the rate of 9 percent. It has been decided by the state government to pay the arrears amount from January 1 to June 30 in three equal instalments. The arrears of 6 months will be paid to the employees in October, November and December 2023. However, from January 1 to June 30, it has been decided to pay the amount of arrears in lump sum to the retired and deceased government employee members.
Increase in their dearness allowance
Not only this, the dearness allowance has also been increased by the Madhya Pradesh government for the employees working on deputation in aided institutions including Undertaking Corporation and Board. For this also orders were issued in the month of August. Fourth and Pay Revision Rule 1998 i.e. employees getting fifth pay scale are also to get the benefit of increased dearness allowance from January 1.
40% increase in dearness allowance
The dearness allowance has been increased by 40% for the employees getting the fourth pay scale of the corporation board. With this, their dearness allowance has increased to 1305%, while the employees receiving the fifth pay scale have been increased by 11% from January 1, and their dearness allowance has increased to 280%.
However, in the case of retired and deceased government servants, it has been decided by the state government to pay the amount of arrears in lump sum to their nominated members. Along with the amount for the month of August, the employees will be paid their increased dearness allowance while the arrears are to be paid in three equal installments in the month of October November December. Along with this, the salary of different categories of employees getting in the month of September can increase from 35 to 50 thousand rupees.
