A resolution has been issued for increasing the dearness allowance of more than 4 lakh employees and pensioners. The arrear amount will be paid in lump sum.
DA Hike, Employees DA Hike: The state government has given a big gift to the employees on Dhanteras. Orders have been issued to increase their dearness allowance. Along with this, dearness relief for the pension of pensioners has also been increased. With the issuance of the resolution, 5 months arrears will be paid to the employees in lump sum.
State employees in Jharkhand will be given the benefit of increased DA for payment of 5 months’ arrears. After the decision of the Council of Ministers, the Finance Department has finally increased the dearness allowance by four percent. A resolution has also been issued for this. At present, dearness allowance at the rate of 42% was being provided to state employees and pensioners. Now it has been increased to 46%.
State employees and pensioners will get the benefit of increased dearness allowance from July 2023. Along with the November salary, it is to be paid to them in the month of December. The differential amount of dearness allowance dues for July, August, September, October and November will also be paid to the employees in lump sum. State employees, pensioners and family pensioners receiving the seventh pay scale are to get its benefits.
It was clarified in the order that according to the defined rule 34A of Jharkhand Service Code, dearness allowance will be paid on basic pay but it will not be paid on special pay and personal pay. As a result of the seventh pay revision by the Central Government, pensioners and family pensioners have been approved with effect from January 1, 2016. As per the pension revision, pension revision has been estimated for the pensioners and family pensioners.
Dearness Allowance was increased by the Central Government in the month of October for which orders were issued. The proposal was approved by the state government in the cabinet meeting after the central government increased the dearness allowance. Orders have been issued within 5 days of approval of the proposal.
