If an employee reaches workplace after 10:30 AM or leaves office before 4:30 PM without valid official reasons then his/her half day casual leave will be considered.

Employees Holiday: There is good news for the government employees of Sikkim. The state government has declared holidays for the employees on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Under this, the government has asked the employees to strictly follow the working hours from 10 am to 4:30 pm. An order has also been issued by the Personnel Department in this regard.

Now you will get the benefit of 2 holidays

The circular states that all government employees should reach the office by 10 am and be present in their respective offices till 4:30 pm. If an employee reaches the workplace after 10:30 am or leaves the office before 4:30 pm without valid official reasons, then his half-day casual leave will be considered. The circular also asks the departmental heads to conduct a surprise check of the attendance of the employees.

These will get maternity leave benefits

The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet also decided to provide child care leave of maximum 730 days during their entire service period to those female government employees whose child has a minimum of 40 percent disability.

2 special leaves will be available in November

  • Himanta Biswa Sarma government has also given the gift of leave to Assam employees. The state government announced two special holidays to its employees in November (November 6 to 8), so that the employees can spend time with their parents and family members. Employees cannot use these holidays for their personal work.
  • The order states that the holidays should be used only to take care of the parents, respect them and spend time with them. Apart from this, 9th is Saturday and 10th is Sunday. The office remains closed on these days. Those who do not have parents or in-laws will not be able to enjoy these holidays.
