There will be 16 gazetted holidays in the calendar year 2024 under the Negotiable Instruments 1881. Apart from this, there will be 12 optional holidays. The General Administration Department has issued a notification in this regard on Friday.
Himachal Pradesh Employees Holidays: There is good news for the government employees and officers of Himachal Pradesh. The state government has released the holidays calendar for the year 2024. Under this, there will be 22 gazetted holidays in the entire year. There will be an additional gazetted holiday for women employees. There will be 16 gazetted holidays in the calendar year 2024 under the Negotiable Instruments 1881. Apart from this, there will be 12 optional holidays. The General Administration Department has issued a notification in this regard on Friday.
Offices will remain closed for so many days in 2024
According to the calendar, in the year 2024, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti will be on 14 April, Maharana Pratap Jayanti on 9 June, Karva Chauth on 20 October and Bhaiya Dooj holiday will be on 3 November. Due to Makar Sankranti 14th January and Easter Sunday 31st March being Sunday, employees will not get the benefit of these holidays. Similarly, women working in government offices, boards and corporations will not get the benefit of two holidays, because Karva Chauth next year. And Bhaiya Dooj is falling on Sunday, although women will get leave on August 19 for Rakshabandhan.
Holidays will remain closed for so many days in November
There will be Sunday holiday in all government offices and banks of Himachal Pradesh on November 11, second Saturday, November 12, November 19 and November 26. Banks will remain closed on November 25 due to the fourth Saturday, while other government offices will be a working day. On Sunday, there will be a holiday for female employees on the occasion of Diwali festival on 12th November and Bhai Dooj festival on 15th November, whereas on this day also male employees will have to come to work like every day. Apart from this, there will also be a holiday on 27th November on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sikh religious guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
